Registration is now open for Local Girl Volleyball tryouts

for the 2026–27 season.​

Local Girl Volleyball Club is excited to open registration for the 2026–27 club tryout season!  We are doing tryouts the same as last year with 14U and older being in the summer (July) and 13U and below in the fall after school/rec season (late October).

Step 1: Confirm your age group.  If an athlete wants to tryout for an age group above their age classification, they will need permission from club director, Eric Shick.

Before You Arrive at tryouts

• Complete the online registration as soon as you know that you are interested in Local Girl VBC

• Review the dates and times for your age group.  There may be more than one tryout.  

• Arrive early for check-in- at least 30 min before

• Wear/bring appropriate volleyball gear and a water bottle

• Register for the USAV tryout insurance if you did NOT play club last year at a Club in the PVA.  Use the link at the bottom of this page.  You will need to do this for Fall tryouts or you are doing Summer tryouts and you did NOT have a USAV membership for the 2026 season.

• Bring either cash, check, or pay with Venmo at tryouts.  There is no prepay for LG tryouts.  

• Contact us in advance if you cannot attend a required session so that we can work out a makeup date.

Main Tryout Date:  Recommended to come to if you can to get the best look at the level of the players in that age.
Saturday, July 11th

Cost:$20

14U (most 8th graders but see age definitions below) — 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM- be there by 8:30am for check in
15U (most 9th graders but see age definitions below)— 12:00 PM – 2:00 PM-  be there by 11:15am for check in

16U-18U (most 10th-12th graders but see age definitions below)- 2:30-4:30pm- be there by 2pm for check in

Make Up Tryout Date:  For anyone who can't make the main tryout
Monday, July 13 6:30-8:00 pm.  Be there at 6:00 pm to check in.

Cost: $20

Possible Call Back tryout: for 14U, 15U, 16U: if needed based on numbers

Tryout cost for all ages is only $20 but you must also get the USAV tryout membership as well ($15-see bottom of this page for link and info)​​

Every Tryout Participant needs USAV Club or Tryout INSURANCE

 

1.  If you are attending a tryout before August 1st and you played club for the 2026 season then you still have insurance and don't need to get tryout insurance.

2.  If you did not play club this past season or you are attending a tryout after August 1st then you need to get the USAV Tryout insurance.  See below with instructions on how to do this.

Click here: https://www.palmettoregionvb.org/juniormembership and go to the section that pertains to you.  If you have never had a daughter play club before then choose "New membership".  If your daughter has played before then please choose, "Renew membership".    Please have a copy of your membership when you come to tryouts.   Choose the tryout membership first ($15) and if you make a team then you will have to upgrade your membership to a full membership ($35 more)

Age Definitions 2026-2027:

11 and Under Division- Players who were born on or after July 1, 2015

12 and Under Division- Players who were born on or after July 1, 2014

13 and Under Division- Players who were born on or after July 1, 2013

14 and Under Division- Players who were born on or after July 1, 2012

15 and Under Division- Players who were born on or after July 1, 2011

16 and Under Division- Players who were born on or after July 1, 2010

17 and Under Division- Players who were born on or after July 1, 2009*

18 and Under Division- Players who were born on or after July 1, 2008

 

*High School Juniors can play 17U regardless of birthday/age.
